Book: the lizzie borden "axe murder".                                      Kayla kilby

On august morning 1892 in fall river, Massachusetts a murderous crime happened to a father, Andrew borden and step mother abby borden. On that morning daughter Lizzie Borden came upon her father dead in the living room and was fast to call the police. Andrew was known to everyone and was a healthy and wealthy man. Andrew was well known all the way back from 1863 when he was married to Sarah, Lizzie's real mom.

When the police arrived later they were called upon the death of Andrew and came to know it was a double murder of him and his wife. The daughter, lizzie, protested she had no idea who had done this or why for she was outside when it happened. The mother, Abby, was found upstairs dead and the killer missing. The examiner explained it had happened an hour whithin the husband and was killed by either a hatchet or axe.

The double murder was examined further and it was hard to believe that the inoccent, christian lizzie is the first suspect for the killing of her parents. So everyone thought. She told the officer that she  was in the barn but told others she was somewhere else. She would correct the officers that it was her step mother and not her mother which helped show the anger she had towards her step mom. Sounds like she did it, right?

In the Borden's house there was a lot of conflict between the step mother and the daughters. In previous years there have been break ins with multiple things stolen that was soon discovered that someone in the household was stealing. The night before the murder a few members of the family had gone into the doctors office for having stomach pains. They were sent home with a stomach ake from the fish they had the night before. Everyone who was sick thought that they were poisoned some how. A evidence got unveled they noticed that Lizzie went to the  pharmacist the night before and got some Prussic Acid, a poisonous colorless liquid with the smell of blossoms. Plus Lizzie had told her friend the night before the murder that she felt like someone was going to harm her family.
