The jungle

                                                             The Jungle.
  •         Sinclair  believed a person should be devoted to their work and always do there best. If the  worker didn't give there best they would throw your job away and hand it off to the hundred of other people in inline for the job. 
  • The plant owners goal is to order the bosses to become a piece-maker and make them work faster if they had to.
  • When Sinclair says, "...there was no place in it where a man counted for anything against a dollar....?" He was meaning that no worker will rebel or disapprove of their paycheck since they are lucky to be getting one due to the millions of people who want the job.
  • The meat packing act is to set a law not allowing manufactured meat to be sold or transporting if contaminated, poisoned or anything wrong with it. If  violated you will be charged with misdemeanor and can be sentenced to one year impriosonment or a five hundred dollar fine. This actual s helped us today to makes I re we know are meat is fresh and and good to eat.

Andrew Carnegie

                                                                Andrew Carnegie

               Andrew Carnegie was born in Dunfermline, Scottland on November 35, 1835. He was a Scottish immigrant who rose from bobbin boy in a textile factory to owner of a steel company in Pittsburgh. At the age of 13. He worked for twelve hours a day at six days a week, making only $1.25 a week. Carnegie was a successful business man who began the vertical intergation, (A company with vertical intergation that owns all the different businesses which depends for its operation). Carnegie as well led the enormous expansion of the American steel industry. He found ways to produce steel faster, cheaper and better. At this time he became the riches man and was important for supporting and giving most of his wealth to the community. Andrew was the pioneering tycoon. His steel empire made the raw materials that built the physical infrastructure of the United States, and produced steel to make machinery and transportation.
